TerrenoFertile wins the “Manlio Armellini” Under30 Prize at ALPI Design Awards 2025

Alessia Francesca, a graduate of the PSSD programme, has been awarded the “Manlio Armellini” Under30 Prize at the ALPI Design Awards 2025, which took place during Milano Design Week at the iconic Palazzo Reale.

‍

Her thesis project, TerrenoFertile, focuses on local craftsmanship as a sustainable strategy for the regeneration of Alpine territories — environmentally, socially, and economically. Developed through almost a year of fieldwork in South Tyrol, Alessia’s home region, the project is a powerful example of design rooted in place, people, and long-term impact.
